National Alliance for mental illness (NAMI) has the answers presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama on a detailed questionnaire on mental health - along with highlights of the Democratic and Republican platforms.
"Mental health is part of a national dialogue on health care," said the executive director of NAMI Michael J. Fitzpatrick. "We offer the candidate responses as part of public education."
"One out of four Americans on mental illness at some time in their lives. They are no differences between Democrats and Republicans. We hope that the services of mental health in the upcoming discussions."

During the primary colors, Senator Obama responded to 24 specific questions on the questionnaire from the U.S.. McCain filed a statement rather than specific answers. His campaign said that it was not their policy to respond to questionnaires.
